        The Pumicestone Passage extends from Caloundra in the north right down to the start of Brisbane. It separates the mainland from Bribie Island. Camera and nature enthusiasts or sight-seeing fanatics will not be disappointed during a cruise aboard the Ferryman. The Pumicestone Passage is a 35 kilometre channel of pristine water stretching from the tip of Bribie Island near Caloundra in the north, to Deception Bay in the south.

The passage, which is part of the Moreton Bay Marine Park, is a narrow, shallow estuary, made up of a system of tidal channels and sand banks and is the perfect place to explore on a stand-up paddleboard, kayak, catamaran or jet ski.

Pumicestone Passage stretches for 35 kilometres, from Caloundra in the north to Deception Bay in the south. A marine park with the oldest registered fish habitat in Queensland, Pumicestone Passage is a spectacular waterway that offers a sheltered recreational area perfect for boating, fishing and swimming.

The Pumicestone Passage is notorious for being particularly winding, narrow, and shallow, to the point where it actually dries right out in places at low tide. It is already a challenge to navigate in a small open boat; so to attempt the passage in larger boats would certainly be an adventure.

Pumicestone Passage, also known as the Pumicestone Channel, is a narrow waterway between Bribie Island and the mainland in Queensland, Australia.
