The purpose of the survey is to monitor trends in vehicle occupancy. These trends may reflect changes in the driving habits of the general public caused by fuel shortages and economic conditions. Vehicle occupancy seems to go down as we have higher incomes (moreso for females), but there seems to be some noise in the data (eg the spike at is due to one vehicle with 12 occupants). Females with lower household incomes have higher vehicle occupancies (maybe those without an income but looking after a family).
